Noise Control Of Air Compressors

The control of air compressor noise mainly adopts three aspects: silencer, silencer tunnel and sound insulation technology:
1. Install silencer
The main noise source is the intake and exhaust ports, and suitable intake and exhaust silencers should be selected. The spectrum of the air compressor intake noise is low-frequency, and the intake silencer should use a resistive structure or an impedance composite structure with individual and resistive as the main structure. The exhaust pressure of the air compressor is large and the air flow velocity is high, so a small-hole silencer should be used at the exhaust port of the air compressor.
2. Set up silencer tunnel
The underground or semi-underground tunnel of the silencer tunnel is made of bricks with good sound absorption. Connect the air intake pipe of the air compressor to the silencer tunnel so that air enters the air compressor through the silencer tunnel. The use of silencer tunnels can greatly reduce the intake noise of the air compressor, and the service life is longer than that of ordinary silencers.
3. Build a soundproof enclosure
After installing a muffler or setting up a muffler tunnel at the air compressor's inlet and exhaust ports, the airflow noise can be reduced to below 80db(a), but the mechanical noise and motor noise of the air compressor are still very high, so a soundproof enclosure should also be installed on the air compressor unit.
4. Suspended space sound absorber.
