Marine Pump Shaft is made of 316 stainless steel or aluminum bronze. 316 stainless steel contains 2.0% to 2.5% molybdenum, which can resist chloride ion corrosion in seawater, especially in seawater environment with salinity of about 3.5%. Aluminum bronze has natural resistance to electrochemical corrosion and can maintain surface integrity under flow rate of less than 4.5m/s.
Excellent strength and rigidity
The tensile strength of stainless steel pump shaft can reach 515MPa, and aluminum bronze can achieve a strength of more than about 480MPa in the heat-treated state. For centrifugal pumps above 3600 rpm, the stiffness and coaxiality of the shaft are controlled within ±0.01mm to prevent vibration and abnormal wear caused by bending or uneven load.
Precision machined structure
The surface of Marine Pump Shaft is turned and polished, and the journal roughness is controlled within the range of Ra 0.4–0.8 μm to reduce the wear of the mechanical seal end face. Combined with the end chamfer, shoulder transition radius design and standardized keyway structure, the assembly efficiency with bearings and couplings can be improved, and the deformation and installation error of seals can be reduced.
