A marine auxiliary boiler is a small boiler on a ship, usually used to assist the main engine to provide heat sources such as steam or hot water to meet the needs of other systems on the ship. Its main components include the boiler body, burner, control system, etc.
The boiler body is the core component of the auxiliary boiler, usually a water tube boiler, that is, multiple water pipes are set in the boiler cylinder, and the flue gas passes through these water pipes to heat the water into steam or hot water. The burner is used to mix the fuel with air and burn it in the boiler furnace to produce high-temperature flue gas and provide heat. The control system is used to control the start and stop, water level, pressure and other parameters of the boiler to ensure safe and stable operation of the boiler.
Auxiliary boilers have the characteristics of easy installation and fast startup, which can meet the heat source requirements of different systems of the ship, so they are widely used on ships.
